DISCOVERING WHISKY at the BANDSTAND BAR
The Bandstand Bar is famed for its extensive and unique whisky list.  With over 120 single malt whiskies to choose from, whisky enthusiasts are spoilt for choice at the Bandstand.

Our whisky list contains a careful selection of the finest Scotch single malt whiskies in the world - including some rare malts. We have written detailed tasting notes to guide whisky enthusiasts through our selection. For whisky list and tasting notes click here

The list is categorised by REGION OF ORIGIN. We have whiskies from SPEYSIDE, HIGHLAND, ISLAY, ISLANDS and LOWLAND. Our varied range is designed to offer something to suit all tastes. Whether you have extensive knowledge of single malt whisky, or are being introduced to whisky for the first time, there will be a whisky that appeals to you.

How to Taste Whisky
Tasting whisky is very personal and each whisky is different, but there are three things to look out for:-

Aroma - swirl around your glass to slowly take in the different aromas.

Taste -   sip, roll the whisky around your mouth. Feel the flavours and taste.

Finish -  the sensation that lingers in your mouth after swallowing.

Whiskies are often described as either Smoky, Rich, Delicate or Light as shown in this whisky map. The map was designed by the Scottish Whisky Association (SWA) in consultation with industry experts to formalise the language of nosing and tasting.

At the Bandstand, we are passionate about Scotland's single malt whisky and we're keen to help others appreciate the complexity of whisky and the pleasure which can be gained from the experience of discovering a great single malt.

We hold regular whisky nosing and tasting events.
Next event:
